Hello everyone,

I couldn’t be more excited about owning City Publications Maryland, and helping local businesses grow.

Now, some things about me:
Both my wife and I are from the Northeast, we moved to Ellicott City in 1987 from a small very New England town of Suffield, CT. My grown son and daughter also have put down roots here in Maryland, with their children

Many people have asked what prompted me to get into the direct marketing business in the first place. My entire career prior to City Publications has been in the retail and wholesale grocery business. I started working in a grocery store (Grand Union) when I was a senior in high school in Greenfield, MA. Six years after starting work in the stores, I was promoted to Grand Union headquarters in the merchandising department. This is where my marketing education began. The balance of my career has been in grocery food merchandising, marketing & manufacturing, for several companies in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic areas. The grocery business is highly competitive with slim margins, the only way to succeed was through proper marketing efforts.

The marketing lessons learned from my grocery career are a perfect backdrop for owning City Publications Maryland. I can only be successful if my clients are successful, and I enjoy assisting local business owners plan marketing campaigns that allow them to do more business.
